hi kids!  

i just got back from 2.5 depresso days in mississippi, and my textbook lists were magically online the day before they were supposed to be.  because i am a complete and total dork, that made me much happier.  don't you want to know what they are?!  i bet you do!  so just click here.   that's an amazon wishlist...which i don't think i should have to qualify in any way, seeing as how you all know me pretty well, but just in case?  i don't want you to buy them.  i mean, unless you want them for yourself.  amazon is just a fairly convenient way to figure out how much things cost outside the SUPE, etc., and to email the list to my mother, who will end up buying some of them.  (that's what moms do, so she claims.  i am okay with that, i guess, what since it will make her feel better and make things less pricey for me and she is having eyeball surgery on monday, and i can't argue with her right now.  i have not the power or wherewithal.)  anyhow, there are only sixteen on the list, because two are special course reading packets made up by the teachers.  and really, why?  don't they expect us to be able to use the alabama equivalent of galileo?  to check books out from the library?  why?!  but whatever, i'll get those at the SUPE.  

SUPE.  ha.  i also think it's hilarious that i will have four different versions of the canterbury tales and three of milton's complete works once i've purchased those books.  huh. lair. eee.  yus.  i wish i knew what order we needed things in...but if my professors are anything like me, their syllabi are nowhere near finished...so i think i might not ask.  

my cell phone just did a weird restart thing.  hm.  

for those of you who do not know, i've spent more time away from this apartment since i moved here than i've spent in it.  that's okay with me, but it's going to change soon.  siiiigh.  i don't really like it here yet, see?  but i guess i will have to do, and soon, as in after monday.  this weekend is the cap to a busy, busy month of traveling.  first i went to georgia to say goodbye (*sob*) and do the doctors thing.  then i came back here.  then i went to toronto to do the hey, you, i heart you, let's ride a swan boat thing, which was all sorts of fun and exciting, and i had a marvelous time except for getting stuck at o'hare.  then i came back here (with help from michael, who gets both my kidney and...some sort of blood/marrow transfusion?  will that work?).  then i went to mississippi to do the laundry and the car fixing and the mom talking thing.  tomorrow i am going with charlie to do the get lauren y carla from the atlanta airport thing, and on monday i am going to drive to lay lake to attend calvin and allison's wedding.  

so yes.  books!  and travels!  i am like some person of yore.
(this person or yore sure does love you, too.  mostly.  even though she never comments, etc.)
